Named after one of the five boroughs of New York City, Manhattan cocktail was first made for Lady Randolf Churchill, Winston Churchill‘s mother in the 1870’s and it has become one of the most well-known cocktails ever created.

Let’s check it out then…



Stir the whiskey, the vermouth and the Angostura with ice in a mixing glass. Rub the orange twist around the rim of a cocktail glass, to give some more flavor, and strain the drink into the glass. Serve with 1 or 2 Maraschino cherries.
